Everton fans will be replaying all the club’s summer striker targets over in their mind as the club’s goalscoring problems so now signs of ending. SBOBET

The Toffees once again failed to find the net in the weekend’s defeat to Leicester City, meaning they have tallied just seven goals in ten Premier League games since Romelu Lukaku swaggered off to Manchester United in the summer.
And while Everton’s failure to get a deal for Olivier Giroud over the line looks increasingly costly, at least Bobby Wood is not rubbing salt into the club’s gaping wounds.
The Liverpool Echo reported in the summer that Everton were interested in signing the American international from Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg. SBOBET

Wood, however, posted just five goals in Germany’s top flight last season – meaning it would have been a little difficult to justify a £10 million buyout clause (ESPN).

And the 24-year-old’s less-than-prolific form in the opening weeks of 2017/18 at least ensures that Everton’s failure to bring Wood to Goodison Park has not added to the growing criticism surrounding the club’s recruitment. Wood scored in Hamburg’s 3-1 opening day win at Cologne in August but hasn’t added to his tally in the eight league outings since.
And German outlet Bild are now reporting that Hamburg boss Markus Gisdol is set to axe Wood from his starting XI with one of the country’s biggest clubs stuck in the relegation play-off place after ten games played.
